30 Jul 2026
Credibility, strategic communications, and trusted partnerships are becoming the new foundations of international growth.
DJM Consulting was honoured to participate in the Supporting Chinese Enterprises Going Global – Digital Intelligence Marketing Session (护航出海助企行·数智营销专场) in Shanghai, where CEO Deric Wong was invited to share perspectives on the evolving requirements for Chinese enterprises expanding into international markets.
Held on 30 July 2026, the forum was jointly hosted by the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal Data Bureau, together with Beyondsoft and other partners, bringing together government representatives, industry experts, professional service providers, and nearly 100 enterprises seeking to accelerate their global expansion. The initiative forms part of Shanghai's broader efforts to strengthen digital services, cross-border capabilities, and professional support for Chinese companies going global.
During his presentation, Deric emphasised that
"The next phase of globalisation will be defined not simply by visibility, but by credibility."
While marketing and digital channels remain important, long-term international success increasingly depends on building trusted relationships with customers, governments, investors, business partners, media, and local communities. Strategic communications, he noted, have become essential infrastructure for organisations seeking to establish lasting influence beyond their home market.
The session also explored the Middle East as one of the world's fastest-growing opportunity markets. Drawing on DJM Consulting's regional experience, Deric highlighted that successful market expansion requires far more than commercial execution. It demands local market understanding, institutional credibility, stakeholder engagement, and long-term partnerships that create sustainable business value.
The event featured policy briefings, professional sharing sessions, roundtable discussions, and one-to-one business consultation areas, covering topics including AI-powered marketing, global brand building, cross-border data compliance, and international market development. Government agencies also introduced Shanghai's latest initiatives to support enterprises pursuing overseas growth through enhanced digital infrastructure and international cooperation.
DJM Consulting was proud to contribute to this important dialogue and thanks the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Shanghai Municipal Data Bureau, and Beyondsoft for the invitation. We look forward to supporting more Chinese enterprises as they build globally respected brands and expand confidently across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and beyond.
