Dubai Briefing: DJM Spotlights China-MENA Opportunity
At Campaign Middle East’s Talent & Technology Breakfast Briefing on April 11, 2025, held at The Metropolitan Hotel in Dubai, DJM Consulting’s CEO, Deric Wong, delivered a keynote focused on a powerful but often overlooked opportunity: the largely untapped Chinese consumer segment in the Middle East.
Speaking to a room full of industry experts including client-side marketers, agency leaders, and adtech innovators, Deric shared how global brands in MENA can unlock new growth by leveraging cultural intelligence and digital transformation to reach Chinese travelers and affluent expat communities. His keynote, titled “Beyond Borders: Breaking Barriers, Driving Business Growth with Technology and Cultural Intelligence,” called on marketers to go beyond legacy segmentation and instead build culturally relevant, tech-enabled strategies that drive precision, relevance, and emotional impact.
The event, organized by Campaign Middle East (Motivate Media Group), brought together over 150 professionals to tackle critical issues at the intersection of talent, data, and automation. Topics included AI’s impact on content creation, the future of personalisation, and bridging the talent-tech gap across organizations.
Hosted in partnership with EternityX, Fusion5, and Seedtag, the event highlighted a unified industry call to action: that innovation is no longer optional, and that culturally fluent, tech-forward strategies are key to sustainable marketing success.
